v-vocal editor not opening

I am selecting a vocal clip, choosing create v-vocal clip, and nothing happens.   The v-vocal editor does not open, and no v-vocal clip is displayed.  This has worked previously and now will not open.  The menu option for open v-vocal editor is grayed out, not available.  Sometimes on next attempt the menu option for create v-vocal clip is also grayed out, leaving only the option to bypass v-vocal clips.  Any suggestions?

Right-click on it and select "Bounce to Clip(s)".

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

I'm having the same problem and unfortunately that solution didn't work for me.  I even tried starting a brand new project and just laid down one simple vocal track, about 30 seconds long.  I then right clicked on the clip, but V-Vocal is still greyed out.

My vocal adjustments just can't get a break, Melodyne crashes everytime I use it for more than a minute and V-Vocal doesn't work at all.

The only other solution I read was to reinstall the whole bloody thing.  RATS!

Did reinstalling work for you? Same problem here (X1b build 255, Win 7 64bit) - V-vocal options are all greyed out. Not a very happy camper right now.

I have the same issue. V-Vocal just disappeared recently. I had to rebuild my system but I used it on one song since then and now in other songs I cannot get it to be available. I Bounced To Clips as well but no go.

    Windows 7 64bit with SP1
Sonar X1 Producer with X1A, X1B, and all Hotfixes
    Intel I7 with 6gb memory
    Presonus FireStudio 10x10

I have my data drive set up different from my App drive but I would not imagine that it matters.

Any suggestions welcome. Like I Said, I know it was working as I used it on a song this week that I started on Sonar 8.5. But a new one I created in X1 ain't makin' it.

    Thanks

Had this happen a few weeks back, did post about it somewhere. V-Vocal options just became greyed out, had to do an unnecessary reinstall of X1 to fix the issue!

No updated on this eh? This is really buggin me (pun intended). I need it (trust me if you heard me sing) and I do not want to do an uninstall\reinstall.

Being there were no replies I broke down and reinstalled Sonar. Although I really hate to have to mess with things like that it did work. Create V-Vocal is now an available option.

So then the question remains why and especially being I am not the only one. But at least it is working.

    Thanks

Just a heads-up - I didn't reinstall, just installed X1c over my current install and it's solved the problem for me. V-Vocal is working!
