Hardware Effects w/X1

Never done this, but I'm thinking of intergrating some hardware processing via inserts into X1. Haven't seen much on this here recently. Does it work well in X1 or does it still have to be tweaked? Any advice on setup? thanks!

    Hi Drumr,
I use lots of external hardware and generally it works just fine.  A couple of things to remember though:
    1. if you change your sample rates the automatic latency compensation will not automatically adjust so you'll need to re-calculate.
    2. if you use an E.I. on a bus with nothing routed to it the latency test won't work.  When you put the effect on a bus route a track to it first, then check latency.
    3. I've not been able to get external inserts to work with effect chains in X1.

Aside from that it generally works just fine.

    Good luck,
    Dean
