Time indicator doesn't follow project

I feel foolish asking this question based on how long I have been using Sonar but, it has never been an issue.

The "now time" indicator that runs along during a project isn't in view once it passes the length of the open window and for the life of me I can't find, nor recall, what one has to do to get it to be in view the entire length of the project. I am using X1a

Thanks for any help you could give me.

Press the Scroll Lock key on your PC keyboard to toggle playback scrolling on/off.

Whenever you edit a clip during playback Sonar will stop the scrolling so you can continue to work on the clip.

I forgot how you get out of that mode. Scroll lock does nothing for me.

Thank you, Scott. That was the fix. I never would have (and I tried) to guess that one.

Thanks very much for your help!

Not sure why Scroll Lock doesn't work for you, but what you're talking about is a totally different option. To toggle it, choose Options > Click Behavior > Left Click Locks Scroll in the Track view menu.

Hey Scott just a quick personal note to you. I bought your book "Sonar3 Power" which I believe was your first one with Cake. It was so very helpful to me as I was just starting out with Sonar and knew next to nothing about it.

I have been running along with cake with each upgrade and have always remembered the help I got from your book. Cheers to you!!

    Always grateful,

    Hey Mark,

Thanks very much! Actually, my first book was called Cakewalk Power and it actually covered Pro Audio 9... the version of the software that preceded SONAR.

Well, if you need help with X1, my new SONAR X1 Power book is out now...
