Is there a way to accelerate load time

Is it possible to accelerate load time? Can you bypass plugin loading or can you program so that the plugin will load at a latter time?

Thanks in advance
Willie

Disable the Ccan the VST upon start up in your global options. You should only be scanning when your sget new plgins or delete plugins

Opening a project all the VSTs that are used in the project are loaded unless you use safe mode (pressing Shift while launching) in which case you can choose VST by VST which ones are opened, and that will take much time.

As CJ said, scanning can be disabled, and that makes SONAR-launching faster, but scanning is not the same as loading.

SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre  -  Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc.

Freezing soft synths will make the project load much faster.

WOW! Disabling VST scan will do for me.
    Thank you very much, CJ.

Be sure to scan your VST folder manually after installing new plugins. Otherwise you won't see them.

It's a good question, because I think it's too bad the default action is for the VSTs to be scanned each time you open Sonar--omg, I'd go crazy if that was going on.  When I add new VSTs and need to trigger the VST folder scan manually, it takes several minutes for it to complete.  That compared to the few seconds it actually takes for Sonar to open when there's no scan involved.

This shouldn't be the default action - that's all!
