Something New FWIW on Pops/Clicks

I just completed another lengthy recording to work with.  After all was set up and  a quick sound check for level adjustments on the PA and interface inputs, let the recording begin.  I only had 1 dropout during the session which was caught quicly-forgot to disable WIFI and kill Antivirus ( new I shoulda printed off that Pre-Record Checklist/SOP ). As the night went on, I noticed as the drummer would work the PA amp with the kick, there would be a slight dimming of the lights inside the room.  The computer was ran through a nice power conditioner also supplying power to the mixing board with no problems noted during playing. I thought no more of it but, would be reminded as lights dimmed slightly throughout the night and would catch my attention.  After returning home and setting back up, I got my coffee and sat down to take a quick look at how it turned out.  I noticed that everywhere the PA Amp worked the electrical system of the facility we recorded at, I had a nice line down through all the tracks at these points which pretty much TRASHED any possiblity of trying to work with it. At first glimpse you would just think its part of the normal sound wave and lord knows is nothing you can hear during real time monitoring.  NO Biggy.  Gives me a reason to make the trip back for some quality time with the band LOL.  All part of the learning curve for me  ;)

Just food for thought and something new for the forum to read on over the weekend.  Have a wonderful weekend everyone.
I think Ill be investing in a nice dedicated power supply as well.  :D
