No audio effects

When I click on "process" "apply effects" the 'audio effects is grayed out. This is a new X1 insatallation. Perhaps I did
 not complete it. I installed part one. Part two consists of "content" and set-up.7 bin     setup.8bin     setup.9 bin              what do I do with these files??
