I Am Having "Some" Luck With My New Configuration, but.......

Friends,
I'm kind of "at sea" with what to do at this point.  I recently purchased (online) a Cakewalk Roland FA-66 interface so that I can impress the Hell out of you guys with my musical genius.  I have been able to work with it through FL Studio (which is why I initially got it).  But I have worked with Cakewalk in the past and had fun with it.  The interface came with SONAR LE software to put on my Dell Studio 15 (i7), so I bit and installed the software.  I have tried turning every knob, installing every configuration of the drivers, went through ASIO, WASAPI, MME and did just about everything under the sun to get my guitar to make noise with the LE software, but nothing.  Now, I was able to get some of the drum samples to sound off, so the Midi portion appears to be working.  I also notice when I start it up, LE hits me with a notice that a certain sound card is NOT compatible, and it mentions 32 bit. (My Dell is a 64 bit - could this be the problem?)  Also, I looked at a recent YouTube How To and it showed a radio button to click for 64 bit drivers.  My copy of LE does not have this little check.  Do I need a whole different (read: newer) version of Sonar to get things off the ground?  Thanks for your help.
