Crackling noise while looping and saving

I looked through the forum and didn't seem to find an answer. I have a Dell Precsion 490 originally it was Windows XP Pro 64 and I was using Sonar producer 8 with no problems I use my Line 6 as audio card and ASIO. I upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate and now when I loop a part of a song or save it it makes this crackling noise. I read about stopping the song and saving it but what about when you're looping a part. I'd really appreciate the help. God bless.

    what driver mode are you using for the line 6?  and is this 64or 32bit win7?  also, which version of Sonar are you using?

    I have Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit I use Line 6 on ASIO. It was working fine while on Windows XP Pro 64 bit. I reinstalled Sonar 8 Producer edition when I upgraded it to Windows 7 Ultimate 64. Maybe in the process I missed installing one of the updates or something. I'm using Sonar 8 Producer Edition.
