@ Herb I can't believe how much it's blowing around right now as I'm looking out the window. @ Janet --- Is there a spring or do we go right into summer up here?

I love cloudy overcast days. I love snowy, windy, nasty days. The snowier, windier, cloudier the better. I just took this picture of my back acreage from the window of my recording room. I have my desk facing the window, you can't see it but my HS-80's are on each side of it. Perfect day imho. Overcast, windy, cold. Yeah, I know I got issues, but at least I'm honest.

Ten inches? (You converted for our U.S. friends ) I heard London was due for about 15 - 20 cm. Thanks we're getting enough here in Toronto as it is.

snow FOCUSES my thinking. for me, it means relief from the unbearable summer heat. i don't have air conditioning in the home i live in, only a small swamp cooler that is undersized for our space, and a small window unit in the bedroom to escape from the heat. so snow, for me, means two things: skiing. relief from heat. as a side note, the snow melt from the mountains here, is our ONLY drinking water. there are no aquifers, no rivers to steal water from. only snowmelt. it's gods gift to the thirsty. snow focuses my thinking.

Yes, snow is great for skiing, exercising gives me better focus. Having said that, I`m looking forward to the spring. Here in Western Norway we have had really bad weather lately, with heavy rain and wind, there have been local floods and snowslides, roads have been/are closed, but today the weather is better so hopefully at the weekend things are back to normal. Best, JH

.... Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the Northern Climates! I spent 15 miserable years in South Florida, where there are only two seasons, Rainy and Tourist. I'd take these winters over the summers down there anytime.

Does snow cloud thinking? Hmmm... No, I don't think so, but thinking can sure cloud thinking, don't you think? What if one is thinking in circles or more dangerously in four sided triangles, or non-parallel parallelograms? What really used to cause clouding though was trying to develop a photo negative with exhausted developer fluid. Talk about half-done and clouded!
