What happened to my snap-to-grid??

Hey everyone, any idea why I can enable and disable the snap to grid function but I can't click the little arrow to the right to select what increments I want to move in????

I need it desperately for some vocal editing I'm doing and I've been stuck for a few days.

Thanks

P.S. I'm using Sonar 7P.

Right click the timeline to open the dialog box and then the "snap Properties" There's a keyboard shortcut too, not at my DAW so can't remember.

Hey, I tried all of that and nothing happens. I tried holding it for a second, right clicking, using (shift-n), snap properties from the timeline... it's just like nothing happens.

It was working fine and now it's not at all.

Are any of the tracks you are trying to work with frozen?

Nope, I tried both and it didn't make a difference.

If you are saying the snap properties dialog is not displaying, this is the fix that worked for me. I got it from this forum. Delete the following registry key and it will show back up. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cakewalk Music Software\SONAR Producer\8.0\SnapDlg Cj

I've never deleted a registry key. Will that have any ill effects?

If it fixes it... and doesn't mess anything up, I'm game to try it!

You can backup the whole registry to a file before you make any changes. I've made many registry changes and never had a problem.

Were you using 2 displays at some point? You may have left it on the other display. I had that happen once.

I do use 3 displays. But Sonar is always on my main monitor and has never moved...

When editing midi (double clicking a midi clip) I can click the snap arrow in that view, but not regular track view...

I had the exact same problem. So I closed Sonar down, deleted the registry key mentioned above, and it was fixed. Thanks. This was driving me batty.
