Waves 7 under Sonar X1 x64

Has anyone ever gotten Waves 7 plugins to work in Sonar X1 x64 without first running the waveshell through shell2vst? Or is it pretty much understood that this is the only way to do it?

They use a waveshell, not individual dll's. I appreciate your willingness to help, but this question is specific to people who are familiar with Waves.

I have Waves V7 and V8 on Win7 64 without issue. They do not get to exercise the function of VST3 yet in SONAR though. Otherwise they work awesome.

Never used any tool other than VST scan.

Which version of Sonar are you using? (32 or 64?)

And you never had to run the waveshell file through shell2vst? You just installed Waves 7 and it worked in Sonar X1 64?

Are you using BitBridge or JBridge?

work fine for me. load up time is a bit slow (sometimes 10 seconds) which is annoying (ilok, 64 conflict, i dunno) but they function fine under bit bridge.  so yes, just insall waves and you are good to go.

    Gotta Waves7 loaded into Xib 64bit, on WIN7 64bit.
    No problemos!

Just remember, when you installing waves, to create "Waves" folder into your VstPlugIns folder. Otherwise sonar will tell you that "there is to many plug-ins" and can't show them all :D

Waves Gold V8 works fine under X1 64 bit here. Simple install nothing special. Project load up time slow. The plugs sound fine. I'm diggin' VEQ.......
