Unable to install Real Guitar 1.5 after Sonar X1b

Hello All,

I have been using Real Guitar 1.5 in several version of Sonar without any problems over the years. I installed Real Guitar 1.5 in Sonar X1 with Windows 7 32 bit and it worked perfectly.  I then went back to Sonar 8.5.3 due to the problems with Sonar X1.

After the realease of Sonar X1b, I installed Windows 7 64 bit on my PC and then re-installed all of my software and necessary drivers again.  Sonar is working well but I am having problems installing my MusicLab Real Guitar 1.5

When installing Real Guitar 1.5, the installation goes to the Programs X86 folder but Real Guitar never appears in the plugins Manager and I can't find it in my plugins list.  I mappped the location to where the files are located and had the VST plugin in finder scan that location, but I still can't load Real Guitar 1.5.

Any answers?

Peace

I see you went from a 32 to 64 bit OS.  I haven't checked, but is RealGuitar 64 bit?

Edited:  (I thought it was standalone, not VST).  So...

Are you saying you've tried to Bitbridge it?  Also, you may need to run the installer using Run as Administrator.

    JonD,

Yes, I went from Windows XP, 32 To Windows 7, 64.  Real Guitar 1.5 is VST and it worked great in Windows XP 32, and in Window 7 32, but when I switched to Windows 7, 64 bit, that's when it wouldn't install properly.

I right clicked on the RealGuitar.exe and selected properties and then set it to Run as Administrator and I configured the setup.exe to install as the Administrator, but I am still having trouble.
