First Major Crash after inserting 10-track template with folder

And now the project won't open at all in 8.5.3 nor X1, x64 nor x32. After opening the project- even in safe mode with all plug-ins disabled, it gives me an exception error and then closes...or tries to: X1b hangs in there until I reboot, while 8.5.3 stops itself.
I'll be submitting a report with the dump data after my session.
Fortunately, it is only this project. I'll try doing it in a new project.
Also, the original template was created in 8.5.3 and worked fine in X1a; this was the first time in X1b I had used this template (which is my standard 10-track drums with Sonitus EQ and Percussion strips on 6 tracks). Also, this is the first time I saw the tracks automatically inserted with the folder (usually I had to make the folder manually).

Several users - including me - have concluded that only way to use X1 effectively is to only ever fire up projects totally created with the X1 environment.

And yes, I've had to rebuild a couple of my own templates from scratch but once this is done, X1 appears to be totally stable.

I went back in and tried the template insertion in a new project with out a glitch, so probably this is a very strange special condition one-off. One fortunate thing for me is the project was only a single guitar, Session Drummer 3 clip, and (very badly performed) vocal part I was beginning to fill out. So not a horrible loss as far as such things go. And, it hasn't effected any other projects or the general stability of either program.
I was also incorrect- sort of- in that the template actually was exported from X1 after having been modified from an 8.5.3 project I had opened in X1.
