It Sucks not being able to order music gear from the US when I live in Scotland

Just a bit of a rant an a vent for me here ........

All the stores like musicians friend etc wont send any goods out to the uk :(

It works out cheeper because of the exchange rate at the momment to buy gear from the US and have it sent over than it would be to buy it here in Scotland.

I was looking at mics and things and asking to get them shipped but they wont do it due to some law about if I can buy it from a distributer in the UK then they cant ship it.

Personaly I think this blows !

Sorry all I just felt like venting my fristration :P

I hear ya man. Even on ebay I've seen countless buyers with perfect ratings willing to shell out any cost, do anything for shipping and say they'll accept any issues that arise plead there case for a vintage piece they're passionate for get regected. Really bites.

Tottaly man It sucks that some people miss out just because they live in a different country.
I buy a lot of things from the US and ok I get hit with import tax but it still works out cheeper on some Items depending on the exchange rate at the time.

It seems to be more big companys that smaller ones that wont send out.

I think it sucks that I can't order gear from the U.S. even though I live here!  (Of course, that's because I'm pretty much broke, but still!)

    I'm with you, Craig.
Still, it's kind of fun to watch my wife cringe when she brings the latest Sweetwater catalog in from the mailbox.
