Pro, It's now called the Edit Filter. It's a drop down menu within the track header. Usually defaults to 'Clips'. NO MENTION in the help file - the manual has a bunch of stuff under edit filter.

In the left hand section of the track view, each track has a section displaying parameters. In that section, look for one of the controls labeled Clips. That is the Edit Filter control for that track. Click it and choose Automation. OR hover your mouse over a track in the Clips pane of the Track view and then press T on your PC keyboard (or press your mouse wheel) to bring up the Tools HUD. On the HUD, you'll see a control labeled Clips. That is also the Edit Filter control for the track. This is just another way to access it. Scott -- Scott R. Look across the top of the track header on the right side. Do you see the word clips? That's a drop down menu with 'automation' 'clip automation etc. You're not the only one who was stumped by this new feature.

Just for the record... I found it only when the "T" key is pressed... Not sure if I am that blind, or dumb, but can't find nothing inside the "Clips" menu. Nor in track View, same in inspector. No automation, or Edit filter mentions... Feeling really stupid right now.

Pro, In the Track View look up at the top at another drop down menu between the now time timer on the left and the time line. Click that drop down and choose 'all'. (It is possible to make the Edit Filter invisible if you have a custom layout.)

Holly schrek! Now I see... I got, indeed, a customized layout... But, I never would even imagine... What happened with the old right click routine? Didn't liked this one!!! But, now, totally found. Thanks, one mor time, Larry...

Yeah not much love for the new method from old users. Some like it once they get used to it. Others not so much. I like it better but I was never an expert in the ways of 8.53. Also Pro there's lots of trick for accessing the automation as well. Do some research or it will really frustrate. For one, once you have automation set up you can shift click to modify that parameter, and shift click to get back to the clip. Lots of threads regarding same.
