Changing Key

Hi,
If I were to add a rex file, for example, a piece of keyboard that I like the sound of
but it's in 'G' and the key of my song at that part is in 'E', can I change that rex file
to the key of 'E'.

Thanks
John

RXP does a decent job of this.

You can bring in the rex file (import audio) and X1 will then treat it like a groove clip. With X1, a rex player is not required.   Double click the clip and the Loop Construction window will open.  Note that it is in the key of G# (default for import of rex).  Now, you can change pictch marks at will.  I would save it back out as a Acid wav to save the pitch (root note) info.

    Good Luck

For a loop that is meant to be pitched, use pitch markers on the track and make sure the loop has the follow project pitch option enabled. Then it is even possible to change the pitch in the middle of the loop.
