Sonar * and GT10 Problem

Everytime i record into the program it gets out of sync. I record the drums first using Session drummerz, Now when I play the guitar over the drums, the guitar gets slow and falls behind the drums, any suggestions?

How are you connecting the GT-10 to the computer? USB?
What audio interface are you using besides the GT-10?
What sample rate are you using for Sonar projects?
What recording mode are you using in Sonar? ASIO, WDM/KS, other?

The GT-10 uses a 44.1 kHz sample rate. If you connect it via USB and are using it as an audio device in Sonar to record, any other audio interface you may be using, as well as your project sample rate, should also be set at 44.1 kHz.

I have a Digitech RP350 that can also connect via USB, but I record with it via its audio outputs so that I can use a higher sample rate in my Sonar project. I still connect the RP350 via USB so I can use editing software to tweak patches when recording, but I don't use it as an audio device in Sonar. This is only when I use a non-ASIO recording mode. When you are using ASIO you can't use multiple audio devices, just one at a time.

Look in Options>Audio>General tab to see and set your project sample rate.
Look in Options>Audio>General tab to see what your playback/recording Timing Masters are.
Look in Options>Audio>Advanced tab to see what recording mode you are using.
Look in Options>Audio>Drivers tab to see which audio devices are enabled for use in Sonar.

It can simplify things if you enable only the drivers you will be using.
