Issues with Superior Drummer 2 in X1
Has anyone had issues? I posted this already upstairs. SD doesn't load. It would appear as: Total: 900MB Loaded: 0MB All inputs/outputs are properly routed, and i have used SD on Sonar 7 without problems. It also runs smoothly on standalone. Did X1b fix this?

Are you running the 64 bit version of X1 by any chance? If so you need to download the latest version of Superior Drummer 2 from your Toontrack account, this has a native 64 bit version. If you try to use the 32 bit version of Superior or EZDrummer in 64 bit Sonar using Bitbridge they will not load the samples.

But, if i have some presets saved on the 32-bit version, could i transfer it to the newly downloaded 64?

Note when upgrading you MUST do the 32 bit upgrade first, THEN the 64 bit upgrade. Otherwise it won't work.

SeveredVesper But, if i have some presets saved on the 32-bit version, could i transfer it to the newly downloaded 64? Yes - both the 32 and 64 bit versions will be installed and I am pretty sure the presets are shared. There is only one format for the producer presets pack.

Ask this question on the Toontrack user forum and I'll give you a solution to the problem. FWIW, the is the same guy who was suggesting to a poster that he could download EZX libraries via torrents sites to avoid the expense.

Has anyone had luck fixing this issue?I already emailed toontrack and haven't heard back,I bought superior drummer and have upgraded it but cannot get it to work,it wont load the samples i guess.I ran the 64 bit installer(i have sonar x1 64bit on windows 7 64)but it looks like bitmeter still opens the superior in sonar.I really would appreciate some help. It's in (more or less) the same place as your activation codes. You would have saved yourself $15.

Stephen themartyrstephen@gmail.com e More than likely, you haven't gone into the SONAR VST SCAN window and created a path to the 64 bit version of Superior Drummer. Without this new path, SONAR will always open the 32 bit version which doesn't work in SONAR. It was never designed to work in a 64 bit environment.

hey mate, yeah i tried that(upgrading sd to 64bit) -(but i am completely new to home recording-obviously wasnt doing it right!)..ill have a crack at checking ths scan path as u have mentioned, and loading without jbridge.the problem i am facing now is superior drummer is loading fine but the sounds produced are 'distorted/crackly'(hows that for a technical term! ) im lead to believe this may be caused by a 'buffer size' problem? i have stuffed around in the preferences-driver settings-mixing latency, which makes a difference when i change buffer size.is there an ideal buffer size or any other light you may be able to shed on this for me...much appreciated...mick...cheers

I've been running S2.0 since it was released - ugraded from the original Superior Drummer... Started using the x64 plugin as soon as it was available... Never had one problem in all that time... Check that all of the pathways are correct and you should be good to go... I prefer using programs that are plug and play.... It makes life drift by a little easier

Upgrade to the latest 64 bit version first. Try Superior Drummer in a project by itself to see if the issue is SD or not. Then increase your ASIO buffers to 256 and see if that clears up the crackling.
