Trying to decide on an extra 8 pres to go with a VS -700 and Octa-Capture

Hi all

I am trying to find 8 pres to add to my set up for Drum micing.

At the momment I have a VS-700 and I plan on buying a Octo-capture as soon as I can
I would buy the Octo-Capture right now but my money is tied up in new drum mics so what I am hopeing to do is buy 8 budget pres at the momment so I can at least mic up the Drums and have the 8 pres on the VS-700 for other things then in a few months I will buy the Octo-Capture and use the other 8 pres as a back up or as extra if really needed.

What would you recomend ? Ive been looking at a few things but I really dont know what to go for or what I can use with both the VS-700 and Octo-capture when the time comes.

Ive been looking at ......

PreSonus DigiMAX D8   , Behringer ADA8000 or anything in this type of price range

I hope any one can offer some advice thanks for the help

    The OC is designed to work with the VS interfaces. Go over to http://acapella.harmony-central.com/showthread.php?2746804-Roland-Octa-Capture-Interface-Now-with-Conclusions and read Craig Anderton's review. Very insightful. You will like the auto sens feature. Just have the guy play the drums and press the button. The levels will set themselves. If memory serves me, inputs 7 and 8 were designed for the bass and snare drums. Something about how loud they hit.

    Notation, the original DAW. Everything else is just rote. We are who we are and no more than another. Humans, you people are crazy.

    Thanks for the reply the Ocota_Capture is on my list of things to buy but as I said above I need something to get me up and running then buy the OC a couple of months doen the line but still being able to use the extra 8 mic pres I am hopeng to buy
