Basic Tempo Question

Is there a way to change the overall tempo of an existing song (say from 125 to 110) just by changing it up in the toolbar, without going to the tempo page and drawing it?  Thx!

That works for a measure then the tempo goes back to the original.

you need to insert a new tempo, I don't remember how to do that in X1, but I THINK it's PROJECT>INSERT TEMPO

Assuming you have no tempo events present, you've got a constant tempo setting for the entire project.  To change that, set the now time to the first beat of the piece, click project/insert-tempo-change.  If you do have additional tempo events present that you don't want, bring up tempo view and clear them with the erase tool.

I'm pretty sure that's not necessary (but I'm not at my Sonar computer at the moment, so I can't test to confirm).
