Bracketed Track Numbering??? Can it be stopped???

Is there a way of turning off the numbering in a track name when importing an audio file? Every time I import an audio file I get a bracketed number next to the file name.

ie;

Bass (111)
Drums (112)
Vocal (113)
Hi Hat (114)
etc....

I think I'm right why this occurs as regards to the placement of audio files in the audio folder/s for projects but do I have to keep editing each track name to rid them. Isn't X1 supposed make things quicker without having to tidy the names up afterwards??? Is there a check box or .ini configuration setting to turn this on/off???
-------
You see my main problem is when I drag and drop (exporting) an audio file from Sonar to a Windows folder, sometimes I get loss of track name endings....
For example:
If my file was called ''Drum_Hi_Hat_Bass_Loop_001'' when I export it might end up being renamed to - ''Drum Hi Hat Bass Lo (11223)'' If I don't notice this as I might have groove cliped fifty files that I wanted to export and save, then messes me up trying to work out what file was named what. Although the bracket numbering prevent me from having duplicates, I'd just rather have the original file names without the end of a file name missing.

Well there you have it. Windows can only have one file with any given name in a directory so it has to add a number at the back to differentiate between them.

Yes but all my files are named differently in the first place.

If I had Drums and duplicated them I'd name them Drums 001 and Drums 002.

    Or
Drums w-o FX and Drums with FX

You see I tend to try and save time by purchasing samples and creating Groove Clips if they aren't already. So if I had 50 Audio Wavs that needed to be Groove clipped then I'd bring them all at once into Sonar get them accurately Groove clipped then delete the old Wavs and replace them with these groove clipped files. It's a right pain having to do them one by one to double check the names are still the same and a lot easier dragging the lot all at once to be saved to my desired folder. It's even worse as I got too many to do.

Some of you might be wandering why bother and just edit them when I need them, but I teach production to young people and it takes up valuable time groove clipping loops adding transients here and there. I'd rather just teach them something a little less boring than this and get straight down to finding something they want and be creative rather than get remarks like ''this is taking too long and it's boring me''.

Here's a workaround: Copy the audio files into the projects audio folder before you import them. Then drag them into the project. The tracks should be named just like the audio files.

Since the audio is already in the project's audio folder, Sonar doesn't need to do any copying so it won't rename them.

Thanks. Nice idea but once I've finished a load of samples then move on to the next batch to work on then I can't delete the Audio files from the last batch until I exit the Sonar project and have to keep closing and opening the project. That would become a pain having to that all the time anyway. I'd rather work from one folder at a time and save complicating things with a second folder open and also taking up window space. Not to sound awkward but It kind of causes a viewing dilemma.
