What if any custom settings do you use?
I'm with Scott on this...
I'd use MS Security Essentials.
If you're not sending/receiving Email, not doing general purpose surfing (just going to trusted sites for updates/authorization), and you're behind a hardware Firewall... I'd opt for no A/V software.

It's very low on resources.
If you need stronger, you are looking for software in all the wrong places :)
