New problem: pressing stop throws vsti volume to zero.

since the x1b update I have had a problem with the volume knob on ElectraX turn to zero after i hit stop (possibly unrelated to X1b, but i know it wasnt happening before).

The GUI display reads 'Master Volume = MIDI CC#127.    Every knob and slider (excluding pitch bend, but including modulation) on my midi keyboard (Legacy M-audio Radium) is focused on the volume control for whatever reason.

Any Midi gurus tell me what im doing wrong?

Go to preferences and uncheck - zero controllers on stop.

Did you try unchecking it, saving it, and then closing sonar and reopen it?

Do you have the latest Electrax update(jan 2011).  It indicates there are improvements for Windows 7 and Midi learn functions which would seem to indicate there previously was a problem.

I don't have the unit so can not offer any more meaningful advice from experience with it.

thanks for the suggestions guys. nothing seems to be working.

i do have the latest updates (64 bit version previously was not compatible with Sonar). I think I will contact tone2 at this point.

    Yes, you are right.

Go to the ElectraX folder (cakewalk/vstplugins usually) and delete "ElectraXmidi.cfg".  The explanation (from Tone2) was that "ElectraX for some reason is receiving a midi CC (probably CC7; volume) from X1, i.e. when you press stop SonarX1 sends the plugin a controller message to turn the volume to a value of zero."

    This fix worked for me.
