When playing back song, it sounds like there are two notes of one note playing all at once

Hello, whenever I play a song from my keyboard using Dimension Pro with Sonar X1, it sounds just fine.  I can play any instrument just fine...

But, if I record it, and then play it back, it sounds like instead of just one "A" note is being played for instance, it is two "A" notes of the exact same pitch and tone being played.

It definitely sounds very odd and I've heard this before but have no idea what is causing it.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks,

Ryan

Sounds like you may have two notes at once recorded. Check the event inspector and you'll be able to see any duplicates there.

Depending on your config, controller etc. it's possible to record the same note on two channels at once on the same track by mistake.

The event inspector is the easy way to see them.

Also - make sure you do not have your MIDI keyboard connected by an USB connection and a MIDI connection at the same time. This can easily lead to duplicate notes, because the two inputs are considered valid (some times with a slight time-shift).
