Is the Akai lpd8 compatible with music cretor 5?

    I looked at a video review..... and I don't see a use for it.... maybe I'm just old skool....

    If you're looking for a way to input midi...buy an inexpensive piano based synth.... as far as a control gizmo.... IDK....

    Akai says on their web site that it is compatible with SONAR, so it should work with MC, too.
    But a MIDI keyboard or controller would be better to input note data to the sequencer, in my opinion.

    im not 2 good w/ note though nd i work mostly w" drums nd sampling. but is ther ny quality slightly portable piano midi controller for lyk 50

    That should work. My first controller was a nano-pad which is similar but has 12 pads instead of 8 and an X-Y touch controller (very nice feature). Problem was I dropped it and the usb connector broke on it. Not sure if the AKAI version is much better built.
