DR-008 is working for me. I just loaded it into the synth rack and tested it. I've always done a custom install to keep the DR-008 alive, but I'm not using it at all anymore (on newer projects) so I likely won't be doing it on the next upgrade.

I am pretty sure it is on the Sonar 2 disk, but it may be on others as well.

He's a gotcha though. If it is only on Sonar 2, that has the worst installer on the planet. It looks for an exact version of DirectX which will now be xxxx numbers of years old. You cannot downgrade DirectX, and Sonar will not begin an install unless that version exists. I think there is a hot fix fix somewhere on the Cakewalk site, but who knows for sure after all these years. There is also a method to "fool" Sonar into  believing the right version is installed, but you have to edit the registry, and I don't know if it works beyond XP.

But to make a long story short, it is definitely working with X1.

EDIT: If you need to install DR-008 from Sonar 2, here is the link to the problem I mention above and the workaround for it.

It works fine in 32 bits, have you ever test the sonic implants library for DR008?, its amazing!

From what I can tell - it was Sonar 2 only. It was definitely introduced on 2, and a search on the net reveals that users were upset it wasn't included with version 3.

That was a DXi version only, and will now be a very old version. It worked well though. I think FXpansion still sells the VST version for about $100. At that price, I would look toward EZ Drummer which I've seen as low as $79. But they are completely different setups, and both have their places.
