Staff View in Skylight

In previous versions of Sonar, my chief way of working was to open the Staff view, enter and edit music, and then close the Staff view to return to the Track view.

In X1 (Skylight interface), opening the track view presents a small window at the bottom of the screen.  I can drag the top edge up, but this squashes the tracks and messes up my Track view/layout.  How do I simply maximize the Staff view, and then close it when done?

Thanks.

Figured out to maximize by clicking the tab at the bottom that says Staff View--but do not see how to select bass clef, treble clef, or both as before in Sonar.  Ideas on this?  Thanks

This is my night to answer my own questions  To select the layout, hit the Edit drop-down in the staff view (not the main edit menu option at the top) and select layout.

By the way, this has always been the weakness of Sonar help: it will say something like "Click the Track Manager icon" but give you no idea what the icon looks like or where it is.  I am having a few issues with X1 because I cannot find things I am used to using and the help is a bit cryptic.  Slowly getting there, though.

Yes, the entire interface and workflow in SONAR X1 has changed. Even veteran users need to relearn the software.
