Is Audio Transpose Working? Or Bug in Bug-Land?

I've been trying to use the Process|Transpose

The clip is selected/highlighted and I've even selected the track (highlighted track header)...

Transpose Audio is checked, Amount is 2 semitones... Type MPEX Solo instrument (It's a stereo clip of a monophonic guitar part) The clip is only 2bars long...

the progress bar blinks real fast, but the audio is not being transposed.

Am I doing something wrong now? Or is this another bug?

Thanks Keni

I seems to me that this is how it should be done. I get the same result (no transposition). However, I also get the same behaviour in 8.53 PE

Can't think what might be causing the problem, but it's working here in X1b, so not a generalized bug. Sounds like something in the state of the clip is preventing transpose from running. Does it have unbounced Audiosnap changes or something?

MPEX time/pitch stretching. A 64-bit library is not available for the MPEX time/pitch stretching algorithm, so this feature is not supported in SONAR x64. Use iZotope Radius or SONAR's internal time/pitch stretching instead

    Above from the help file.

If you are using 64 bit this may be the problem.  Maybe try the radius solo for type.

    Thanks Gang...

I'll investigate some more today... I hope...

This is working fine in 8.5.3

This is the first time I've tried it in X1....

I'll post what I find next... before bug reporting... ;-)

Keni I just tried it and it worked on my system. I ONLY have Radius options for transposing no MPEX option, I chose Radius Solo because I have no idea what the options mean lol. I don't see a system spec in your sig. Are you 32 or 64 bit?

Any way worked fine here with my system below. Hope that helps.

Keni, maybe try 'bouncing to clip' before you try and transpose sometimes that will clean up any stray data in the clip.

Good catch, Lorney. I used Izotope. MPEX is not even available - probably because I've never had an x86 version SONAR installed on this machine.

Brundle - is Izotope and Radius the same thing? Isn't Radius an Izotope product?

I can't seem to duplicate the problem today... This time it's working as expected.

I tried to duplicate the work done prior to applying the transpose to see if it somehow affected the situation but found no unusual results...

So I goes for now I'll chalk this one up to user error or strange phenomenon...

    Thanks for the help...

Sorry 'bout not having more sys specs in my sig, but my sig has already hit the character limit and been shortened too many times...

I'm only running the 32bit version on Vista 32... I'm too poor to get beyond this....

Yes, that's my understanding. I was just using Izotope to mean "not MPEX". I actually tried a couple different Radius algoirthms, having tuned out Keni's mention of MPEX.
