mono process effects

Hi

I wonder if anyone could help with a process effects problem.

I find that when I try to add a process effect to a selection of a clip it also turns the selection into a stereo. Not great for mono tracks.
Is it because my track is inherently stereo? When I recorded the track I just used the left channel which resulted in a mono wave.
Does Sonar still think the track is stereo even though it's mono? How do I make the track be mono by default?

Thanks

Yeah, I think it's because the track is set to stereo,

You find the button to change this in the inspector and the console view (It's trange that it's not present in the track view). It's called "interleave" and is next to the phase button.

I hate that particular change in X1 - should be on the track itself.

yeah! I don't get it either! They should bring that button back to the track view as well, or change the text 'All' in the drop down menu to something more suiting like 'Some' or 'All (NOT!)'
