Does Sonar X1 work with Euphonix MC Mix (Avid Artist Mix)?

I am on the cusp of buying and MC Mix to use with Protools 9, Avid Media Composer and Sonar X1b. What is the level of support for this device with Sonar X1b? I have heard on other threads that it is flaky and requires a significant update. Secondary question: If Sonar X1 support is indeed a bit broken, which end is broken? The Sonar end or the Eucon end. Many thanks to anyone who can help. I would be grateful if we could keep on topic, so no "My XYZ surface works great!!" please.

Rain Recording Nimbus. Sandybridge 2600k, 16gb Ram. Quadro FX 580, Roland Quad Capture. Avid Artist Mix and Transport. Loads of other cool stuff.

Bump for this question, would like an answer too.

EDIT - I see on other threads others saying that support is flaky even on 8.3 as it's a very old protocol from Cakewalk's end.  However this - http://www.cakewalk.com/Support/kb/reader.aspx/20080104 - says last revision was two months ago?  Applies to 8.5, 8 and 7.

EDIT 2 - I guess before this date is was Mac only, but now supports Windows.  If it is still only flaky even in 8.5 I'll be very surprised and disappointed - DAW compatibility with Sonar is a headline over at the Avid site (who now own the hardware).

Just in case you haven't see this thread you might want to check this out:

On the other hand, I'm not sure the Euphonix protocall is still supported in X1.

Cheers - frustrating that the last post in the thread is Jan, but the last Cakewalk update was Feb!  Hopefully that fixed the 64 bit thing - does anyone know?

TBH I can't see a reason to upgrade to X1 yet, so 8.5 compatibility is more important in the short term.  As and when X1/X2 gets more interesting, of course that will change.

Euuuuooh.  That doesn't look good.  18 months and no 64 bit support?  That DOES put a spanner in the works.  Knowing it is in the works would do for now, but if this is another one of those cases where something gets dropped cos something else came along then that's a different matter.  Am planning on purchasing hardware in the next day or two, so I'll need to call some people directly to find out just what is going on here it looks like.

Thanks v much for the links Psalmist35 - my searches didn't come up with these.
