Are We Allowed To Install 64- and 32- bit versions of the same X1 license on different PCs

I have my workstation PC that runs Windows 7 64 bit.

But sometimes I want to be portable, so I put an old copy of Vista 32-bit on my Macbook.

Am I supposed to buy an entire 2nd copy of Sonar X1 to install the 32-bit version on my laptop, or is it legal for me to use the same license on both machines? Will the software try to stop me from doing it if I try?

Sonar X1c / Intel i7-980x / Windows 7 64-bit / 16GB RAM / Intel SSDs For OS and Project Drives / RME Fireface 800 Interface

You can run it on two computers just not at the same time. One license for both.

But does it actively prevent me from having two working copies of the same license on two machines?

For example -- Does the challenge/response process to authorize the license with Cakewalk's servers  also register a hardware fingerprint that prevents two installations of one license from working at the same time?

I don't really care if I have to pay for a 2nd copy (I mean it seems silly, but I'd do it). I am just trying to figure out if I need to.

I definitely don't want to "break" Sonar 64-bit X1 on my workstation by installing the 32-bit on my laptop.

You should be fine - I installed on a new x64 machine while migrating from the old 32 bit - no problem.

no, it does not register hardware "fingerprint" - in fact, it's not a true challenge/response authorization anyway, it's just a cut and paste of the registration code.

the software will not stop you from loading it on both machines.
