Hi Chappel,
Thanks for the reply!
I'll try to explain a bit better and give you more of the details to see if we can pin this down. Here's an example of what happens....
1. First off, for this particular arpeggio I'm using the
Korg Polysix (Soft Synth) . However I should probably mention that I often have this issue with other soft synths (Sonar, and third party)
2. Secondly, I'm using one of the Polysix
presets, with the
arpeggiator section turned on and set to play 16th notes arpeggios.
So for example, if you hold down a 3 note chord let's say, it plays back an arpeggio in 16th notes for as long as I hold down the chord.... Great!
3. Now let's say I go to the piano roll view and draw in a 4 chord sequence, with each chord 2 measures long (and assuming each note is exactly on the bar as the PRV Snap to grid is set to Measures)
4. So now I set the timeline cursor to the start of the sequence and press play.........
Let's say for this example it plays perfectly 1st time, and in time with the rest of the track.... Cool!
So I put the cursor back to the start of the sequence again and again press play..........
Let's say maybe again it plays in time!..... Excellent
Once again I reset the cursor and press play................
This time it is out of time!......... Arghhhhhh!!!
(Just an important side note... The point is basically it seems to randomly playback out of time - could be out of time the 1st time, then playback fine 3 or 4 times, then be out of time again on the next playback!! etc etc etc)
As an experiment I bounced the arpeggio track and on this particular bounce I noticed that the entire bounced audio track was off by about a 16th note! So as a work around, and just for my own sanity!! I shifted it back to where it should be, archived the midi track and just continued mixing with the audio bounce of it.
Anyway, that's the saga so far. Hope you can shed some light on it
Cheers!
