My Media Browser looks different...

...than the one Seth shows in the Drum Production Master Class video.  They are not even near alike.  Is there something simple here that I am missing, or is there a nefarious plot afoot to deliberately confound me?

On the video, his is all Windows-looking, with white background, and several useful buttons.  Mine is all DOS-looking, with black background and fewer features.

Oh, yeah...I have X1b Producer.

Some of those vids were done with 8.53 - that's probably what you're seeing.

You can customize what you see by right clicking in the dark area(ie all the way to the right of the control bar, or in between any of the parts-separation lines .) Hope this helps.

Could be, but it is definitely the new Step Sequencer being used in the video.  Was that in 8.5?

    Hello Gary,

The first Drum Production Master Class was indeed done in 8.5 in which the Browser had a white background. In X1 the Browser's background is black and is now dockable on the right side of the workspace.

All of the features are there, including more (Loop Preview set to OFF works like one-shot preview mode now). Which features or settings are you looking for? Click on the Media tab in the Browser to access various settings.

Also, there's a new Drum Production Pt. II on CakeTV in which X1 and the new Browser was used.

Having said that, a new video that goes deeper into X1's new browser is already in the works, coincidentally.
