Suggestion on naming of Quick Fix
Thank you, Cakewalk, for instituting the Quick Fix program. I just downloaded it, and I have small suggestions about the naming, particularly when you issue more Quick Fixes. First, there was a Hot Fix for X1a. At least one person on the forum has already confused Hot Fix with Quick Fix. Second, perhaps a numbering system will be needed as you go forward with this program, as we struggle to keep current. For example, this quick fix requires that SONAR X1b is installed. It could be called Quick Fix X1b-1. Third, I think the latest patch should always be on top, to be consistent with your other downloads. Note the order that is there now, where the Quick Fix is below the required X1b: SONAR X1 Downloads The following downloads are available for SONAR X1 Producer --- edited to remove direct links ---

It is confusing, isn't it? In case others missed it, Zyler (from CW) has said the hotfixes are incorporated in the later patches, so they're not needed in a full install. So, proper install sequence would be: - Sonar X1 - Sonar X1a Producer (or Studio) - Sonar X1b Producer (or Studio) - Sonar Producer QuickFix - Build 244 My only suggestion would be that the release date be put next to every patch. Then at least there'd be another way of confirming the order of the updates.
SonarPlat/CWbBL, Win 10 Pro, i7 2600K, Asus P8Z68 Deluxe, 16GB DDR3, Radeon HD5450, TC Electronic Impact Twin, Kawai MP11 Piano, Event ALP Monitors, Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro, Too Many Plugins, My lucky hat.

Good point. I inadvertently used the wrong name in a post I just made - and thanks to your post I've gone back and fixed it.

Not 100% sure Cakewalk would like the direct link posted like that. Good points otherwise.

Whoa - thanks A1. I had only done a copy / paste of the text on the page and didn't realize the links were active. I just edited the original post to remove them. I agree with you, it took several steps to get to the links page, and they verify your info first. My apologies for the inadvertent error. Jon - good points. A release date would certainly do it.

Charlie, I don't understand your first post. Perhaps you were trying to tell me the same thing A1 did?
