IPad and this forum

Hi, is anyone able to post messages on this forum with an IPad as i can't.
If i tap in this box to write nothing happens, i can't get the keyboard to appear on the IPad.
It's the only place on the web it won't work and it's the place i visit the most!

Cheers
Steve.

If i tap in the quick reply box the style and font size change it's very weird.
I hope someone can fix this.

    Cheers
    Steve.

I've been screaming about this for about a year... and now that I also have an iPhone... well... it's just pathetic, is what it is.

I even brought it up to some of the Cake guys in Anaheim.  Wasn't their area.  Bummer.

But THIS is why I've all but disappeared lately.  I'm USING NEW TECHNOLOGY!

Download a copy of print central from app store, Im using it now to reply, it's a multi use package, printer and browser, email client., The browser works perfectly on this forum, it's not the iPad at fault but safari. You get the added bonus of printing to any wireless printer too instead of just AirPrint ready printers. HTH

Type your message as a note, then copy-paste it to the message box. I'm using an iTouch to relay you this message as we speak.

I can't post from my iPhone......and the copy/paste from notes is a royal pita on the iPhone.

    This forum software sucks.

Copy and paste from notes not working for me on my iPad, still relying on print central to reply to this.

ProjectM, MNorman, Glad that little gem worked for you, Ive been using PC (not to be confused with pro channel ;-) ) for a while now as I too became very fed up with not being able to post on this and many other forums using my iPad. Silly isn't it!

Someday I hope to have a so-called "Smart Phone" so I can see the internet on my cell phone.  Unfortunately, the guy in charge of the company money is too tight with the purse strings...  Oh wait, that's me!

I had downloaded the Atomic Web app awhile ago, hoping that it would solve the problem. Atomic allows you to choose a browser emulator for your Internet session. So I tried all the different masking options; safari mobile, safari desktop, firefox, Internet explorer, etc... Worked ONE TIME, and then not again. But since the Print Central app is $8.99, and The App Store links to my husband's account, I have to be judicious in the apps that I choose... Meaning that I have to be able to explain my purchases! :) So, before I bought it, I tried setting Atomic Web to "Safari-Mobile" one more time and HEY! HERE I AM! We'll see if it lasts this time... The issue is with the Rich Text Editor, and Java Scripting as far as I can tell. I know there USED to be a forum option to NOT use the RTE, but that seems to have disappeared.... Turning off the RTE in forum options is a known workaround on other sites, but since we no longer have that option, I guess I'll be using Atomic Web to check in y'all.

Apparently, I will have to hard code my paragraph breaks, though.... Sorry about that last post being all mushed together!
