Session Drummer 3 question..
Does Session Drummer 3 have more and/or different midi drum patterns available than Session Drummer 2? Although I think Session Drummer 2 is an awesome drum synth (in fact I think I like it better than my Superior Drummer program) I'm a bit disappointed that there isn't very many patterns available. Just wondering if they provide more and/or different patterns with 3? I'm always looking for more/new drum patterns with which to work. Not that it really makes any difference because I'll soon be updating to Sonar X1 Producer anyway but I'm curious. Thanks, Pete

You can also use the grooves/patters that come with your Toontrack products in Session Drummer. Not sure if this is the proper way to go about things, but (since I layer two kits together to get the sounds that I want it works out fine for me) I insert both an ezdrummer softsynth and a SD3 softsynth and build my drum tracks using patterns from several of the ezdrummer expansions as well as additional midi from toontracks and some manual building in the Piano Roll View. When I have things how I like them, I then copy and paste the midi into the SD3 instance. Not sure if they plan to add more midi content for Session Drummer though, so perhaps this reply was bust?

I also use the midi grooves from Session Drummer 1 and sometimes I even use Cakewalk's brush pattern midi grooves. I was just hoping to get some more high quality clips to add to my arsenal. i use toontracks midi data as well..im pretty sure on thinking smart loops has free downloads of midi data as well.google it if you get a chance..id give you the link but i got to head out I already have those smart loops as well as some that I purchased separately. You can never have too many midi groove clips for drums.

We also carry MIDI Groove Libraries for Session Drummer (and other formats): Thanks, I'll be sure to check those out. had no problem with the wave loops..its the szx files im having a hard time finding where they go?thanks Actually I was referring to "midi" groove patterns but the files you're talking about can be stored anywhere you want as long as you point your synth to the folder where you're storing them. Of course you'll have to make sure that the synth you're using can recognize szx files. Extract the files to any folder you want and then, after opening your szx player, simply navigate to that folder and open the file you want to use. I have been looking for som brush patterns...where did those come from? As I understand Cakewalk has now excluded the brush pattern in X1 so I don't know if those patterns are available now. But if you have an older version of the software I'm sure you have them stored in a folder. To find out where Sonar is storing them you can go to Options > Global > and then click on the Folders tab. Look down the list of folders and find the one that says "Pattern Brushes".
