Solo from Piano Roll

How do you solo the track you are working on when you are in Piano Roll view?

On the right hand side of the PRV there's a section which lists the tracks you've got visible in the PRV which includes buttons for mute, solo, record, enable/disable editing.

I can't remember the name of it, but there should be a button on your toobar to make it visible.

It might alreayd be visible but shrunk right up to zero width - try dragging it to the left and see what happens.

I can't seem to find the toolbar button to to enable the view.  If anyone knows please advise.
Hover the mouse over each button and read the caption text.  The one that you are looking for says "Show/Hide Track Pane".

    That's got it.

And here's something you may want to try - it's the way I work, and I never open that track pane in PRV.  I leave room for one track in the TV to be visible over the top of the PRV.  With WizMouse, I can easily scroll that sliver of a view so the same track is displayed that I'm working on in the PRV.   It's convenient to go back and forth as needed between the track and the data in PRV.  And with the Inspector visible at the left - I have all the controls I need without shifting anything around- and of course that includes having two solo buttons available, in the track header and in the Inspector.

Alternatively, a dual-screen setup allows TV and PRV to be in view simultaneously, both maximised.
