Move it all to the right . . . . . . . . .

Hi guys,
The guys in my band have suggested that we add an introduction to our recording.

The project contains all audio and no midi.
Question:  The project has four tracks that contain clips starting at different locations.  How do I move all the clips in their respective tracks over to the right so that they will remain in sync so that I can add additional material to start the recording?
This is likely an easy task.  I guess I still fall under the newbe group!

Thanks,

JP

Just rubber-band them all and drag them. They'll all move together and remain aligned.

Set the 'Time Now' cursor at Start. +
    Click 'CTRL-A' to select all.
Click F9 to only select everything to the right of TimeNow.
Edit/Slide, and choose the number of measures you want to move.  Don't forget to include Markers if you have any.

+1 - with a simplification.  All you need to do is make sure you're at the top of the project, then double click any track header to have everything selected, then Insert>Measures.

All the sudden I can't do any of the suggestions listed above.  I'm missing the obvious again.  I want to move the entire project to start at measure 1.  It is all digital audio no midi.  I select all the tracks but it will not let me move everything to the left.  Why?

Probably because you still have that opening blank section selected in the Time Line.   When that area is still selected, you can't move anything.  Select all your tracks, look in the Time Line - if the opening part starting at beat one is still selected, hold Ctrl down while click the cursor at the point where the clips start.  Then drag.

My method to achieve this is EDIT>SELECT>ALL then PROCESS>SLIDE>1 measure. It's just another avenue worth investigating if the previous methods aren't working for you.

How do I move all the clips in their respective tracks over to the right

2 different questions with 2 different answers.

What is it you REALLY want to do?

Maybe he wants to move them to the right then move them back again? It'll give him something to do while the band is arguing about the intro.
