I released an Album

I'm not sure it's cool to do a blatant "self promoting" thread like this,  but last week I released an album.  I composed 11 songs designed to work in commercials/films/TV but as songs on an album also.   It was a lot of fun 'cause most of the musicians performed their parts in thier own studios (some hundreds of miles away) and sent them back to me thru the internet.  I do not know enough to do the final mixes,  so i had a friend mix (in Protools),  but the album was done in Sonar and exported stems in an OMF format for the mix in Ptools.
I used Tunecore to distribute it and I'm creating video's using Sony Vegas and a $39 animation program (anime debut 7) to create Youtube promo videos.  My 1st attempt is here:

I reccommend every musician try this,  'cause you just don't know what will happen if you make your music available...I mean listen to what is making it on the air today.  It is a lot of fun and the technology is making it easy and possible for everyone.

The band name is "Thaddeus Fool's Rhythm Review" and the album is "Fool's Gold".  You can find it on iTunes,  Amazon MP3,  and Amazon on Demand.

If I have any success in sales or commercials or whatever,  I'll be sure to post back on what/how things worked and happened.

It was tuff picking Tunecore or CDBaby or Reverb Nation.  I really don't see much difference in any.  Tunecore claims to be connected to getting your music in commercials and stuff thru a library.  That is the main reason I picked Tunecore.  I'll have to wait and see how much help that really is.

Yeah  I'll buy yours.  Let us know how your album does also.  You really don't have to buy mine.  I'm not posting here to get more sales.  If you really like it and want it,  go ahead and buy it.  The album is geared to more rock jazz/blues type of crowd,  not a real popular genre right now.  Definitely a niche market.

Like the song but the vocals don't seem to cut through your music enough , good luck with it !
