Next SATA6 purchase

http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0361177

This drive that was emailed by local store meets SATA6 speeds.

Anyone had any experiences with this brand? Or know of any issues?  I thought it might be a good data drive.

Reason for asking, not familiar with "Cool Drive"

    Just my opinion,

It seems everything "Eco", "Green", "Cool", etc etc equals "Slow".

The drive you linked has 12ms average seek/write times and transfers rates which start with "up to". This screams out to me as "slow".

PS - Latest SATA spec is III (or 3) which runs at 6 Gigi bits per second. SATA6 hasn't been invented... yet...

Good point, thanks. Will hold off on this particular drive. At that price, I was going to get (2) to build a RAID set.  One of the SATA6 drives I use, has a bit of hesitation before updating the screen.  Most likely due to platters going to sleep...
