Quick Fix - now can't run Sonar

Crashes every time on startup -- I see the GUI and it's almost all the way in, and the I get the dreaded message Sonar... has stopped working.  The projcess is still running and can't be killed.  Can the quick fix be unapplied?

    Hi there,

    Sorry you're having trouble.
If for any reason you'd like to roll-back the Quickfix, follow these instructions from the Knowledge Base article:

    Backup & Recovery
The QuickFix installer will automatically backup your existing SONAR installation, the default location will be 'C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\SONAR VERSION\Backup\DATE\Version_Build.Number'  If for any reason you need to restore to X1b you can do so by replacing the files in your installation directory with the ones found in the Backup folder

Well, unfortunately I got impatient and uninstalled X1, now reinstalling from scratch and applying patches.  Don't know why I asked if I wasn't going to wait for an answer, but thanks for responding!

By the way, I figured out what likely caused my problem.  A few days ago I restored my c: drive from an Acronis image.  The image was from March 15.  That's before the X1b patch.  The Quick Fix patch says it requires X1b, which I thought I had because I was forgetting about the dates and the restore.  Some patches will tell you when you try to run that they can't be applied because you're patching the wrong version, but the Quick Fix appeared to install fine.  Anyway, after my reinstall, then X1a, then X1b, then Quick Fix, everything is running fine, so I assume that's what the problem was.

Nice catch - I suggest editing the thread title, such as adding "Solved".

Since the Quick Fix did not recognize it was being applied to X1a, which surprises me, we will have to be very aware of what we have installed before applying future quick fixes.

Software: Cakewalk by Bandlab; Adobe Audition; Band-in-A-Box audiophile; Izotope Ozone; Encore; Melodyne; Win 10 Pro, 64-bit.

Hardware: Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 2nd; Roland Integra-7; TCE Finalizer; Presonus Central Station, Behringer X-Touch.  Home built i7 with 16 GB RAM, SSDs.
