X1 Latency Still Happening . . .

After upgrading to X1 and its recent update, i'm still getting latency.  I've tried all formats (wdm, asio, mme, andn wasapi (wassup?)) yet haven't got it down.  I have exhausted many different settings in all driver modes.   I have loaded a song that was originally recorded in Sonar 4, and saved in 8.5.  I can get my latency in control in monitoring (nothing playing or recording), but when i hit the spacebar in playback or recording it lags.  Then afterawhile it lags without the clock enabled.

sonar x1a
AMD Athlon 64 Dual 3800+ 2.00 GHz
8 GB RAM
64 Bit Win 7
Presonus Audiobox all updated drivers

these are my current settings:   www.llanosmedia.com/latency.htm

Thanks Pat

roughly recorded in Sonar 4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RAcPmKkFnS4&feature=channel_video_title

Change to trigger freewheel in sync
Use ASIO or WDM and lower your ASIO buffers or WDM slider.

Do you have any effects in the chain?

Hi CJ,  Here are the driver and asio settings that work the best.  The audiobox is new to me.  I had to use a mixer to input audio sources.  The whole idea is to use straight computer (plugins) with one audio interface.  I'm more of a songwriter then i am a tech, and i want to minimize on outboard gear.  i'm using a v-amp pro for guitar and bass to the audio box.  I'm hoping i won't have to revert back to using the mixer and pci soundblaster live.  Thanks, Pat

latency is not the same thing as "lag" from starting.  if you're talking about lag when you start, are you running MIDI/softsynths?  if so, do you have a least 1 or 2 measures at the beginning of the project before the MIDI and softsynhts start?

Then afterawhile it lags without the clock enabled.
what do you mean by "without the clock enabled"?  what clock?

also - you do realize this is not the X1 forum, right?

i play a note on my guitar and i'm not hearing it immediately.  is that latency or lag?

when i hit the space bar now time starts to move.

sorry if my explanations aren't accurate, i just haven't had this problem with cakewalk/pro audio/sonar before.

I'll move this to the X1 forum.

    Thanks, Pat
