GTP4 stopped working completely, help

GTP4 stopped working completely, help

It was working fine before, now every time I try to play anything I get this:



I have tried changing the audio settings around, reseting to defaults, everything but it has no effect. I think it has something to do with a new device I used last time I recorded, the cakewalk UA-1G usb audio interface. When you hook that up, it changes the recording and playback source to the UA-1G. But GTP4 currently says my soundblaster audigy zs is the playback / recording device atm, and it's still not working. Is there anyway to get GTP4 to work again without reinstalling? I may want to use the UA-1G thing again...that's why I bought it after all, for recording.

    usually you have to go in change your sound card settings back to what they were before then close gtp4,then reopn it.all changes dont take effect untill the next reboot

    I've done that, rebooted a few times, no effect.

    Reinstalled it, no luck still doing same thing. It was working fine before.

    I can start a new project, and the new project will play. But if I load up any previously created GTP4 project, it will not play, I get the same error message with everything, including the demo projects that came with GTP4.

    Interested if you got it figured out? I just upgraded from the UA-1G, but do recall that happening, but all I had to do was set everything back to where I could listen to playback through laptop speakers. Is it unplugged from the USB port, may seem silly to ask, but ya never know. Have you opened Task Manager to see if it still going in background? I believe I had to go back and change tracks outputs as well! Good luck, let us know how it is going, please, thanks.
