missing dll

Hey all-

When I start X1, it begins the normal plug-in scan, but then locks up with the message " the program can't start because WavesLib 8.0dll is missing. try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.

So I did.  Same results. If I cancell the action, X1 starts and opens, then I do a scan of the vst folders and all is fine.  Wonder what I'm missing here. It's just a pain to do a manual scan upon start-up every time.

Thanks in advance-
Oak

Once you have done the scan ya dont need to redo it everytime. Go into Preferences and de-select it until you add other plugs requiring a rescan

or am I thinking of something else?

    Thanks Mike-
I just scan once, but I have to do this after I get X1 open, as it won't succeed @ start-up- so if I close X1 I go through the same thing over again. KInda like groundhog day...

Im not familiar with any plugs outside of X1 added. What if you uninstall just the Waves plug and reinstall making sure it is stored in the folders with the X1 plugs?

I don't think so, bluzdog, as once I get X1 open, the scan runs properly.

So don't scan when SONAR opens, there is a setting for this in preferences.

Be sure a child window is not waiting for an input when this happens.
