Set timecode at now broken in X1....

I use set timecode at now in order to time jingles for TV/radio.  That way I can figure out what tempo is needed to fit the lyrics etc.  1st bar is my count off, Jingle starts at bar 2.  At the jingle start (bar2) I set the timecode at now 00:00:00:00.  Then the timecode show the now time from where it's told to (jingle start).

In 8.53 this works fine and is displayed correctly on the Large transport.   (you have to roll playback for it to show right, but it works).

In X1a and b, the now time goes to oo:oo:oo:oo and does nothing.

Interesting & bummer.  I accomplish the same thing by dropping a marker at the start point, and drop another at :60 sec (or whatever desired length) after that.  Could serve as a workaround for you until it's fixed.

Thanks for the kind reply! This place is full of those who cry 'troll'. :)  It is a bummer...  I hope they get it taken care of.  Oh well, there's always X3z build 974.  Thanks again!

Any help from Cake would be nice....

There's always the problem reporter. See "How to contact Cakewalk" on the front page of the forum for a link to it.

Cakewalk constatnly say they don't monitor the forum looking for problem reports.

Not just me. Yep, had that happen too! Now back on Win XP and Sonar 6 - still no word from CW.  Over a week now.

Crazy thing is that Sonar X1 seems fine on my Sony VGN-AW37GY - Win 7 (U) 64bit notebook.  Core 2 DUO 2.80 GHz and 6 GIG RAM.

Windows XP machine 2 x 3.4 GHz and 4 GB RAM.  No worky. I honestly think that Sonar is a Win 7 64bit program that 'MAY' also work on a Win XP 32bit system...

I think I should be moving to Boston. Always found weekends way too short over here. Ours are merely two days .
