How to Add External Audio Editor in X1 Tools Menu?

When I was at Sonar 8.5 and Win XP I resolved this by adding one  character string to Win registry or used Sonar Utils or in case of Sony Sound Forge it was there after install. But in X1 I can't see my Sound Forge and Adobe Audition. Can any clever kind man tell me how to do this in X1 and Win7 64. I love my Adobe Audition for destructive audio editing but today don't know how to combine it with X1. :-(

    Hi Grivanov,

    I found this in the Cakewalk knowledge database:
    http://www.cakewalk.com/Support/kb/reader.aspx/2007013099

    It looks a bit intimidating. I need to do it also- my Wavelab is nowhere to be seen inX1

    Just did a test and you can do it much easier.

    In the following text just change the red text appropriate to your program.
    Then copy all the text as it appears into a .txt file and rename the .txt extension to reg.
    Double click it and it will automatically add the info to your registry.
    Next time you open SONAR

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Cakewalk Music Software\Tools Menu\Sound Forge 10]
    "exePath"="C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Sony\\Sound Forge Pro 10.0\\forge100.exe"
    "MenuText"="&Sound Forge 10"
    "StatusBarText"="Run Sound Forge 10"
    "Type"="WaveEditor"

    It helped in that now Sound Forge opens but there is no waveform! Any suggestion?

    I have been popping off enough third party programs stand-alone lately that I resurrected this thread. Thanks Mudgel for clarifying how to set this up! It works very nicely

    ASUS ROG Maximus X Hero (Wi-Fi AC), i7-8700k, 16GB RAM, GTX-1070Ti, Win 10 Pro, Saffire PRO 24 DSP, A-300 PRO, plus numerous gadgets and gizmos that make or manipulate sound in some way.
