Display Bus Inputs?

Hi there,

Is there any way to discover which tracks are routed to a given bus? I want to route them to a different bus - do I have to examine the output routing of every track in the project, or is there an easier way to find the list of all tracks routed to a particular bus?

Thanks,

Yeh, I know there are alot of other things you can see lists to like-Markers so if your working on long recording you can hit the drop down and jump to marked places, it would make sense to have a view to list all inputs and outputs and be able to mess with multiples at once for high **** track projects.  Good idea

This is something I'd also like to know.
I think this isn't possible.. but I'm not totally sure..

It would be great with a drop down menu at the top of every bus.
And when clicking on this you get a list of all tracks (and busses) sent to this bus.
And if you rightclick the menu you get a window where you can ..kind of manage the busses ins.
You don’t need that many options, just being able to see what is sent to the bus, delete them if you want or send to another bus would be great.

How about using Tracks > Sort > By Output in the Track View? In conjunction with this, you could also create a Custom widget view that shows only track Name and Output to reduce the clutter.

Alt click the buss, all the tracks that are routed to it (either via their output or a send) will be added to a quickgroup (at least that's how it is in 8.5.3).

Rothchild, if that still works (I'm not at my DAW right now) then it's a decent workaround. However, I think it would be a rather nice feature to pop up a list of routings somehow - also separated into sends and output routings. FR?

Yup, that's the sort of workflow enhancement many folk have been asking for for some time. But we got a shiny new gui instead.....

Pop up list, matrix or even a virtual patchbay would be good.

To be fair, screensets, massively improved drag-and-drop and fx chains can all be viewed as pretty significant workflow enhancements. As can the Multidock and the automation edit filter. Some have resisted these and doubtless they can all be improved, some significantly... but others have found all of them quite useful. To say that X1 is just a facelift is not really true. Still, I'm with you that there are all manner of workflow enhancements that could have been made instead... and might perhaps have been far less contentious.
