Audio /Transport Problem in LE

Hi, I am new to this Forum, hello everybody!
I use Sonar LE for about 6 Month now, as ist was part of the Software coming with Boss ME-25
I use a M-Audio Fast Track Pro Audio/Midi interface and every thing worked out fine until yesterday.
now all of a sudden, when i hit the spacebar to start transport i get an error message saying:(I translate from german:)
"Your Audio Device can not be opened, Maybe Your Device does not support the AudioFormat of Your current project or it is used otherwise"
i did not change anything as far as i know
when i change to the All4Asio Driver i can get a sound over the build in Soundchip of my notebook but i cant get the M-Audio to work...
when i try to change to adifferent bitrate there is a erreor message saying: the Asio Samplerate is not supported by one of the USB Interfaces
I am thankyul for any help
greetings Rex

    Welcome to the forum!

Which drivers do you have selected in the Options>Audio -dialogue? If there's more than one selected it's possible that random jumps from one to the other occur. Only the M-Audios ASIO-drivers should be selected (to solve this. It is possible to use multiple soundcards).

What sample rate are you using? You mention that you get the sample rate error message after changing bit depth?? Is that just a mistake, and you actually get it after changing sample rate?

    thank YOU Kalle,

in the mean time i did a lot of things:
    - i reinstalled the M-audio driver
    - I even reinstalled Sonar LE
    - i changed the Sample rate in the windows 7 m-audio driver to 16 bit and did this also in all the setting dialogs in Sonar
    but still the same message..
btw  i get Audio signals on the headphone output of the M-Audio device
so nothing in the hardware chain seems to be incorrect.

Ok. Once more what I already said in my previous post: You are confusing bit depth to sample rate.
16 bit or 24 bit is the bit depth, 44,1 kHz or 48 kHz is the sample rate. Both the project and soundcard must have the same settings for these.

And you did not answer even one of my questions, so we are not getting anywhere.

Also, you should delete, remove, obliterate and nuke the ASIO4All driver from your computer completely and totally in order for the M-Audio ASIO driver to work. ASIO4All is very aggressive and will attempt to override any other audio driver.
Once ASIO4All is removed, completely and forever, selecting the M-Audio ASIO driver in Options>Audio will force the computer to always use the M-Audio, unless you have the (rare) computer sound card with ASIO drivers.
