Br800 as control surface with Sonar LE problems???

I have the BR800 linked up succesfully with Sonar LE, the sliders on the BR control the software sliders, etc but it appears that I can only record simultaneously onto one stereo track. Surely if I have 4 inputs on the BR, I can record 4 separate tracks on Sonar....can't I????? If this can't be done, why the hell would anyone want to use Sonar LE with BR800? Why would Roland bundle them together if they are not usable as a multi-track solution?
Any help appreciated.
Thanks
Elvis

    Welcome to the forum!

How do the BRs inputs show in the list of track inputs?
I assume you should be able to record 4 tracks or two stereo tracks.

Are you using ASIO drivers or is there possibly some dedicated driver for BR800?
Is the BR selected as both playback and recording timing master?

Being a standalone workstation there can be features in the BR800 that are not common to an average audio interface, so we need as much info as you can give.

SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre  -  Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc.

Hi, thanks for your replies. Kalle, The inputs just show as left in, right in, stereo in. I can only only record two mono or one stereo track.
I can use ASIO drivers and have tried it but normally use the drivers that came with the Boss.
Yes, the BR is selected as both playback and recorrding timing master.
I now think perhaps I need a new audio interface to allow more than two mono tracks to ber imported. My sound card has only one stereo in so I guess that is the limitation here.

Nocojack, yes, of course I have set 4 audio tracks, and all 4 can only reveive signal from the one channel going to my soundcard (via USB).

    Thanks anyway.

I  think you are confused bad time with the terminology. BR800 is your soundcard=audio interface if that is what you are recording through. Your computers integrated sound should not be selected  anywhere in Options-dialogue. You are using the Boss via USB, aren't you? Why do you even mention your soundcards inputs - there's nothing that you should be connecting to it.
