Why are you trying to figure innuendos these guys out?

We've all felt that way, haven't we?? If there is a reason for the trials in my life, I've rarely (if ever) realized the purpose for them at the time I was going through them.

I heard a nice story over the weekend about a lady that was a quadroplegic and someone commented on how she always had a smile on her face and asked her how she kept her positive outlook. Her reply was that each day she woke up and waited for someone to bathe, cloth and fix her breakfast, she said it was a constant struggle to not give up and to keep going on with life, let alone have a smile on her face. But she said she would much rather have to go through a daily struggle to be postive rather than a superficial smile of someone without a depth of character on the inside. (the actual story was much better than my paraphrased version, but you get the point...)

I guess the reason your post made me think of that story, is it doesn't necessarily matter why the things in life happen to us, but how we handle those challenges means everything.

 You are nowhere you can't be saved from, either through your own efforts in the now or in your recognition of ultimate inability to control your destiny apart from the Highest power. Like an addicts first admission of the need for help,our admission of the need for ultimate help is the first step.......

  I don't look at God like someone who is continually out there looking to "correct" us or "teach" us a lesson we deserve,rather He is trying through love to bring us into  His direction. We have been given the gift of choice, we as humanity have chosen to make a lot of mistakes that affect a lot of people. If you choose to follow Him, you can do that. If you choose to run away He won't stop you.......

I felt that way in 1972 after I bought a Honda 750...
